If this new Hudson album's gonna play out like a continuation from '808s & Heartbreak' then I'm definitely on it. I'm feeling this song a lot, you can kinda hear the Kanye influence on the lyrics in places. I get the impression Kanye really wants Hudson to be one of those great British voices from the 80s.

I'm gonna have to hit the London date of his new tour.

The only place you can buy a new album in Brixton is Woolworths. We need to save Woolworths. I just bought this, I need to go record now, then I will listen. I can't believe my boy Mr Hudson is on a track! I did a couple of shows with Mr Hudson and The Library when we first got deals at the same time. The first show we did together was a gig we did for GoodBooks. Those Deal Real boys must be proud. Shout outs to them man.

I officially endorse 808s and Heartbreak

I've been on the fence but to be honest, is Kanye singing really that different to Kanye rapping? He can do way more with less syllables than most rappers can do period. I'm feeling this 'Robocop' record. The beat is bizzonkers and the song is catchy as hell. 'Love Lockdown' didn't do it for me straight away but it was definitely a grower. I'm really excited to hear the album now, I'm hoping for something like Pet Shop Boys meets Gnarls Barklay.

His 'Coldest Winter' cover is insane too.

I just read confirmation on Semtex's blog that Kanye West will be dropping his fourth album in December. He's the last in line to announce a big 4th quarter album after 50 Cent's 'Here I Am' freestyle earlier in the week and Jay-Z's 'Jocking Jay-Z' leak at the end of last month. Jay-Z has been reluctant to put a date on 'Blueprint 3' so far but Jay-Z is the 4th quarter king and it wouldn't feel correct him coming out in the 1st. 50 Cent says he's got a film, an album called 'Before I Self Destruct' and a computer game dropping in the 4th quarter. This could be the biggest sales period in the whole industry recession. 2008 could go down as a record breaking year, everything considered.

Kanye West- Good Morning [Video]

I have a weird relationship with Kanye's last album. It's got a couple of songs that I can't stand ('Stronger' and 'Drunk and Hot Girls') but overall it's amazing. The DJ Toomp affect separates it from Kanye's first two albums completely. But depending on the day of the week I'll say I either like it, or I think it's boring. Interestingly though, when I'm leaving out to a meeting or something early in the day, I will run through the albums on my iPod and 9 times out of 10 I'll draw for 'Graduation'. I realised I was doing it one day and asked myself 'Why?'. I figured it out. The first song on the album is 'Good Morning', which is a great record as is, but the fact that it's called 'Good Morning' and actually has this feel of a long journey about it, I instinctively associate the album with getting started early in the day. Kanye knew that when he made this song! The dastardly devil!

The video for the song is pretty awesome too. I was just asking Jack the other day why standard, regular-old animation isn't used more these days. I like the CGI and whatnot but sometimes you just need the primary colours in 2-D.

US Rap Sheeeiiiittt

Normally you start with the brand new Jay-Z song or the brand new Kanye West video but this Rhymefest song is crazy. Absolutely crazy.

I think the reason Kanye ultimately beat 50 is because this could have been the first single or the last.

Mr Carter Spoof. Funny stuff.

I feel good knowing that there will be a new Jay-Z album before 2009. Don't ask me how I know, I just know; he hinted that Kanye might produce it. Could you imagine that? In today's rap age? That could be another milli-week. I don't know why this video made me think about a new Jay-Z album but it did, the video itself is pretty funny.

This video is superb. With 50 Cent failing to consolidate, Lil Wayne being a very easy target, T.I being in such indifferent form and Kanye West being about something so much bigger, the lane is wide open for Jeezy to swoop in and become the king of this rap thing (Jay-Z is the father of them all of course).

I checked Kanye's blog comments to find out what that song was. I should have known, it was of course Gnarls Barkley from the new album 'The Odd Couple' which it appears I will have to go and buy on Monday. The song is called 'No Time Soon' for those that don't know. You can hear it on Youtube after the jump...

This is a video of Kanye West in a spinning studio. I was going to ask why but Eskay was pretty matter of fact with it "Because he can". Fair enough. Why I was compelled to watch such a stupid sounding video I don't know. After watching the video I learned very little about Kanye, spinning or studios, but I did hear my new favourite song. What is it? It sounds incredible!
